Earthing is perhaps the most overlooked aspect when building an electric fence. Proper earthing is important to ensure maximum animal security as well as full energiser performance. This can be achieved with the use of Earthing Stakes (available below) and Underground Feeder Cables (see Connectors and Cables). Earthing reliability should be checked often when your electric fence is in use. Electric fence testers are used for this purpose, and we sell a selection of testers (below). It is also a legal safety requirement in the UK that warning signs are attached to electric fence lines whenever an electric fence is in close proximity to the general public (e.g. footpaths) and you can find a suitable warning sign for purchase here.
