This innovative measuring device provides precise measurements of both fence voltage and the state of charge of energiser batteries so that they can be recharged or replaced in good time. This versatile unit measures fence voltages from 0.5 kV to 15 kV, and battery voltages from 2.5 V to 40 V which is ideal for monitoring electric fences and energy sources for fencing equipment. The device switches on automatically when it comes into contact with a voltage, making it particularly easy to use, and the digital display provides readings within one decimal place which enables precise, accurate results. The fence tester's ground spike is also equipped with non-slip insulation, which provides additional safety during use, whilst the cable can be conveniently wrapped around the fence tester for easy storage and protection against damage. The Hotline Electric Fence Digital Tester also comes with a 9V battery and is therefore ready for immediate use.

Instructions / Feeding Guide

How to Use:

Fence Voltage: (measuring range fence pulses 0.5 kV to 15 kV)

• For measurement, the device is connected between earth (earth rod) and fence (measuring contact).

• Voltage values > 2kV are considered safe according to VDE.

• The higher the voltage values, the more effective the fence system is.

Battery and Rechargeable Energiser Battery Voltage: (DC voltage measuring range 2.5 V to 40 V)

• Suitable for testing 6v, 9v and 12v batteries.

• For measurement, the earth rod is connected to the positive pole and the measuring contact to the negative pole.

Description of the Display:

• ‘Lo‘: The voltage of the voltmeter’s 9 V block battery is no longer sufficient.

• ‘no‘: The voltage of the fence or the battery is below the measuring range.

• ‘Hi‘: The voltage of the fence or the battery is above the measuring range.
