This simple to use 6 LITE fence tester, operates via earthing in the ground and hooking to an electric fence line. The Hotline 6 LITE Fence Tester indicates the voltage of your elctric fence via six neon lights showing between 1000 to 10,000 volts. The six neon lights give an indication of the voltage on the fence line as follows:

• If 3 or more neons light up, the fence is operating satisfactorily.

• If only 1 or 2 neons are showing, there is likely to be a problem either with the fence shorting out or with the battery.

Instructions / Feeding Guide

Instructions:

Insert the probe into the ground and then hold the metal part of the hand held unit to the fence.

The six neon lights give an indication of the voltage on the fence line as follows:

• If 3 or more neons light up, the fence is operating satisfactorily.

• If only 1 or 2 neons are showing, there is likely to be a problem either with the fence shorting out or with the battery.

Voltage Recommendations:

• More than 2000 volts for easy herding animals such as: cattle, horses and pigs.

• More than 4000 volts for normal soil conditions.

• Up to 1000 volts more than this in dry soil conditions - due to the poorer conductivity of the soil.
