Instructions / Feeding Guide

How to use:

Preparing the Nest Pan:

• Add a liner: Place a matching round canary nest felt or jute liner inside the wicker pan to give the birds a soft, insulated base.

• Secure the liner: Use a thin layer of non-toxic glue or traditional carbolic soap paste around the bottom and sides to glue the felt down so the birds do not pull it out.

• Protect against mites: Dust the nest felt lightly with a safe anti-mite powder, such as diatomaceous earth, before placing the liner in the pan.

Installing in the Cage:

• Hang the pan: Use the built-in woven metal hook on the back of the pan to attach it securely to the vertical or horizontal bars of the cage or aviary.

• Choose a safe spot: Position the nest high up in a quiet, sheltered corner of the cage where the birds feel secure and have a clear flight path in and out.

For all orders placed on our website, delivery is available to England, Scotland and Wales only (we are currently not shipping to Northern Ireland).
