Provimi - Multimilk - 5kg

Provimi Multimilk is a multi purpose milk replacer for all young animals including piglets, puppies, kittens, foals, lambs, kids and calves. Multimilk can act as a complete feeding stuff for foals and other young animals in the case of the foal being orphaned or rejected. Multimilk can be also be used as and when necessary (e.g. if the mare isn't producing enough milk, or if the foal is trying to suckle and the mare rejecting it). Multimilk is based on British dairy products and contains high levels of skimmed milk powder. Multimilk also has a long shelf life, so it can be purchased in advance of foaling, and kept in storage in case there are any emergencies. Foals feeding correctly during the first 48 hours after birth is crucial to good health and organs starting to function properly.

Feeding Guidelines:

The guidelines below are for foals (expected to make around 16hh at maturity).

Use 200g of milk powder with 800ml of water to make up 1 Litre of milk.

*Never mix Provimi Multimilk with boiling water, as this will damage the milk protein and vitamins present*

DAY 1-3: Foal would normally be feeding on colostrum, with Multimilk feed as much and as often as seems necessary.
DAY 4-14: Foal should be feeding on 3-5 Litres per day split into as many feeds as necessary.
WEEK 2-6: Foal should be feeding on 6-9 Litres per day split into 5-8 feeds at regular intervals.
WEEK 7-11: Foal should be feeding on 9-11 Litres per day split into 2-4 feeds at regular intervals.
WEEK 12 - WEANING: Foals should be feeding on 11-20 Litres per day split between 2-4 feeds fed at regular intervals whilst a creep feed may be introduced.

Quantities fed to other breeds and mature sizes should be adjusted appropriately. As a guide, 0.1 Litres of mixed milk should be fed per 1kg of bodyweight. 1 bag of Provimi Multimilk will make up 25 litres of milk for a foal.
