Mighty Organic Bedding Powder can be safely used with all pets, poultry, horses and livestock as well as throughout domestic households to maintain an environment free from mites, fleas, lice, ants, moths, flies, cockroaches, carpet beetles and many other pests including slugs and snails. It can be sprinkled on animal bedding, in dust baths, nest boxes and throughout animal housing as well as on carpets and furnishings. Mighty Organic Bedding Powder can be applied directly on to animals skin, or mixed into their feed to aid in the prevention of internal parasites and promote general good health. Mighty Organic Bedding Powder is made from the crushed fossils of freshwater organisms and marine life called Diatoms (a type of algae). It is a natural desiccant, removing moisture and helping to maintain a dry, clean, odour-free environment. It will also prevent damp areas where mites, moulds and lice could thrive. How Does Mighty Organic Bedding Powder Work?
Diatoms have a hard shell made of non-crystalline silica, which does not decompose in the lakes, or sea where diatoms live. Thus, over long periods of time, large volumes of fossilised diatoms are exposed on the surface from dried out lakes. Once crushed to a fine powder and observed through a microscope, the particles resemble bits of broken glass - deadly to any insect but completely harmless to animals, fish, fowl or food. Most insects have a waxy outer shell covering their bodies. Mighty Organic Bedding Powder scratches through this shell causing the insect to dehydrate, leading to eventual death. Therefore, it controls insects by physical means rather than chemical, and thus has no chemical toxicity. *It can be expected that most insects will die from contact with Mighty Organic Bedding Powder within a few days.
