The Horizont Infra-Red Heat Bulb is specifically designed for industrial applications due to the reinforced tempered glass construction. This hardened glass has a high mechanical strength and high resistance to thermal shocks. It is also water splash-proof and therefore safe for use in agricultural and food preparation environments. This type of infrared heat bulb is powerful, reliable and specially designed to produce direct, glare-free warmth to animals, people and food (the ruby red glass reduces glare by 75%). Bulbs with tungsten filaments such as this Horizont Infra-Red Heat Bulb have an immediate effect (no warming up required) and have a long lifespan of 5000 hours. The bulb comes CE marked and the E27 screw fit nickel-plated brass base means that it can be used in conjunction with a variety of light fittings.

*A 250 Watt bulb is suitable for use with up to 150 chicks.

Instructions for Use:
Infrared Heat lamps is the most commonly used heating device used in animal breeding. It emits the most effective infrared radiation 1.2 - 1.4 µm. The recommended distance to suspend the heat lamp to the animals being heated is 0.6 metres. Always use professional heat lamp shades and lampholders to protect the animals from accidently touching the hot lamp and also to carry the heat away from the base (ceramic bulb holders are recommended). Protect the bulb from contact with water while heating. Cut the power supply before removing or replacing the bulb.
