Feeding Guidelines: (See Image).

• These feeding rates are intended as a guide only.

• Always try to feed a minimum of 1.5% of bodyweight as good quality forage per day.

• N.B. These feed levels give the minimum and maximum feeding rates for each range of bodyweights, i.e. a pony of any bodyweight between 200-400kg could be fed between 1-2kg per day depending on their requirements.

In this modern world of big multi-national corporations, Baileys Horse Feeds remains quite unique in being a family owned and run since its inceotion in 1982. Many of the staff at Baileys are hands-on competing, racing or breeding, so they are familiar with the practicalities of keeping and feeding horses. Baileys Horse Feeds manufacture to a strict code of feed safety and their 'drug-free' premises are accredited to the Universal Feed Assurance Scheme (UFAS), which means their production methods and conditions are carefully controlled and conform to EU and UK legislation governing animal feedstuff manufacture. Their feeds are also monitored for the presence of specified naturally occuring substances (NOPS) as defined by the rules of racing and the FEI.
