Complete with hook and eye connector for easy fixing, this type straining screw is often used in fencing, guy wires, temporary structures, or applications requiring frequent adjustments. Gardman Hook and Eye Barrel Bolt Wire Strainers can also be used to create plant support structures as well as fixing and increasing the tension on line wires. They are easy to use, simply fix to fence posts with screw-in vine eyes (not supplied) and tighten the centre barrel as desired to achieve the ideal tension.

Instructions / Feeding Guide

Instructions for use:

• Undo the two bolts from the barrel

• Hook the barrel strainer onto a screw-in vine eye or a bolt-on eye (depending on your application).

• Feed the line wire through the round hole and twist back onto line wire for about 8cm (3") or use a suitable fixing .

• Then using pliers or spanner, turn the main barrel body to tighten and strain the wire.
