Dengie Hi-Fi Original is the original high-fibre maintenance feed for horses and ponies in light work. It is also an ideal low calorie, fibre-feed for goats and alpacas who hold condition easily. Hi-Fi Original is made from alfalfa which is an excellent natural source of antioxidants and can be fed either as a partial hay replacer or as the sole energy source for horses, ponies, goats and alpacas (just add a broad-spectrum vitamin and mineral supplement or feed balancer). Hi-Fi Original provides 8MJ/Kg of slow release energy along with a consistent level of natural nutrients. It can be fed alongside other forages to encourage browsing behaviour when animals are stabled. Unlike hay and haylage which can vary in nutritional content from batch to batch, Dengie Hi-Fi Original provides consistent nutrition. The extraction processes used during production also reduces the dust content.

Your horse’s workload will have a bearing on the type of feed you choose and the proportion of forage to concentrates.

The table (See Image) gives recommended feeding amounts for concentrates (mixes or cubes), alongside forage according to your horse’s workload.
