Burgess Excel Adult Rabbit Nuggets with Oregano are a delicious, complementary food for adult rabbits (from 4 months to 5 years old). Containing oregano to aid digestion and alleviate stress, Excel Rabbit Nuggets are naturally high in beneficial fibre (39%) and are fortified with vitamins and minerals for healthy eyes, skin and coat. This tasty rabbit food also helps to prevent selective feeding (where the rabbit picks out the sweet high sugar elements of the diet and leaves the nutritious and fibre rich elements), and includes natural antioxidants to support the immune system and a natural prebiotic to support digestive health.

Feeding Guide: (see image).

• Remember that good quality feeding hay and/or grass should make up the majority of your rabbits’ diet and should be available at all times.

• Rabbits should also be fed a small portion of Excel nuggets, the occasional Excel Nature Snack to add variety and encourage emotional enrichment, and a small amount of leafy greens each day.

• Fresh, clean water should always be available. Please talk to your vet for further information.

• If you are currently feeding a muesli-style food to your rabbits you should gradually transfer them onto a hay and nugget-based feeding plan over a period of between 14 and 28 days.

• You can do this by gradually reducing the amount of muesli and increasing the proportion of Excel Adult Rabbit Nuggets with Mint until they have completely replaced the mix.

• Always ensure you are monitoring your rabbits’ weight to ensure a healthy weight. If you are ever unsure you should seek veterinary advice.

Burgess is an independent family run business based in Thornton-le-Dale. They are one of the UK’s leading animal food manufacturers, catering for the country’s top nine most popular animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters, gerbils, rats and ferrets. Starting out as flour millers in the 17th century in North Yorkshire, the Burgess family moved into producing wholesome farm animal feeds in the early 1960’s initially at Victory Mill in Thornton-le-Dale on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. In the 1980’s they focussed on small animal food at Cherry Tree Mill in East Yorkshire. Using the expertise and experience built over the centuries, Burgess produce high quality, award winning foods and have launched many innovations including the UK’s first single component nugget for rabbits and the world’s first food specifically formulated for indoor rabbits. Today their head office is still in Victory Mill, almost 100 years after they first moved there, and are still producing small animal food at Cherry Tree Mill. Having developed strong working relationships with the local agricultural communities over the years Burgess use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible and often have deliveries by tractor.
