Instructions / Feeding Guide

To apply a spiral leg ring to a chicken:

• Open the ring, similar to how you would open a car key

• Put the ring around the chicken's leg

• Twist the ring into place

• Ensure the ring moves freely around the chicken's ankle

Here are some tips for applying leg rings to chickens

Don't make it too tight:
The ring should be able to spin around the chicken's ankle easily. If you're putting the ring on a growing chick, you might need to replace it with a larger one later.

Check regularly:
Make sure the ring doesn't grow too tight and doesn't restrict or cause pain to the chicken's leg.

Avoid exposing the pointed ends:
The ends of spiral leg rings are cut to a point to create a smooth edge. If the pointed ends are exposed, they can injure the chicken's leg.
