Dengie Fresh Bed for Chickens is a chopped, dust extracted straw bedding with pine oil added for its natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Developed in association with the British Hen Welfare Trust and ideal for ex-commercial hens in particular, Dengie Fresh Bed for Chickens is designed to keep your hens feeling warm and cosy. Dengie Fresh Bed will compost much quicker than shavings and wood pellets and produces great compost for your vegetable patch! *Please note: this product is not suitable for rabbits, guinea pigs or other small animals.

• Nesting boxes should be lined with soft and dry bedding to provide warmth and comfort for chickens.
• Chickens will often keep themselves warm by cuddling up together in their coop so providing extra bedding in the colder months will help to keep warm.
• Dengie Fresh Bed for Chickens is perfect for providing insulation in the colder months as well as absorbing any moisture, droppings and smells.
